Been a while since i done a poll. I'm trying to come up any fandoms that's common to everyone but I guess not. So, some of the options along with its characters will probably be obscure, but eh. Haha. You can vote to up to three if you can't decide. Here's a totally biased explanation of each option: Tsubasa Chronicles Reservoir is a japanese manga series featuring 2 knownl alternative reality characters of Sakura and Syaron from Card Captors. DONT WIKIPEDIA this because it's filled with spoilers. Basically, Sakura has a soul containing incredible MarySue powers that can transcend time and space which can manifest as these strange looking wings of her memories. SOme bad guy hypnotize her to give it up but the male lead stopped that from happening. Doing so caused her MarySue wings to break into thousands of memory feathers which gets scattered to different dimensions. She's pretty much dead without them. And so Syaroan ends up getting friends to travel across different worlds to find these feathers. Sounds familiar? They did, in fact, traveled to some computer game before.Dr. WHo is Dr Who. They have this machine thing that can teleport anywhere in the universe basically. The Magic School Bus and Miss Frizzle. This is actually more of a nostalgia for me as they've done a computer episode once. The bus IS magic, I'm sure it get inside total firmware somehow.Tron is the name of this program in a form of a guy with a icon---i mean-- identity disk,or whatever. It's a movie inside this computer thing, and you can play games, and these game sprites like them shooting things also can traverse in the same computer world which doesn't really make sense. The Matrix is a huge computer network which sole purpose is to create a normal world to house millions of human minds while the computers use the physical bodies as energy. Stuff happens in this virtual normal world such as hackers and other computer programs lurking in there. I'm sure One of these hackers can somehow reach Mainframe, untouched for hundreds of years. His Dark Materials is a fun series to read by Phillip Pullman composed of three novels. You start out reading about the first world where people's souls are outside of their bodies and take form as animals called daemons and revolves aroudn the concepts of consciousness being made up of particles called Dust and the world's religous leader believes that dust is the source of sin. SOME people like to say there's controversy about this and the convulted movie version (Golden Compass)like it's filled with blasphemy or "aethism for kids"(Hahahahaha) or something, but really, tho, they just underestimate children's ability to not blend fiction with reality. The second book of the series(Subtle Knife) is where world travelling is introduced when some kid who found this knife with an edge so infinitely thin, he can cut the fabric that separates alternative realities. Travelling to Mainframe is probably impossible in terms of the series' sciences, but meh, I love the characters. *Edit* oh i just remembered. One of the key important objects that is essential to the story is the Alethiometer. It's a watch thingy with 3 hands and symbols engraved in the perimeter edges that can tell the truth to any of the user's questions(Except only extremely few people can figure out what it says because it takes extreme years of study of gaining intuition for Symbols' meanings, or in the main character's case, she's a child and children can easily understand things with wonder which is lost once she reaches maturity). The mechanism of this alethiometer interacts with the Dust, which is what angels are made of, pure consciousness. In the second novel, we find a scientist from our world who created a computer to interact with this Dust(or Dark Matter which is what fiction we usually refer it as) to do the same thing, except with words, and there's these wires that try to detect thoughts in your head you must wear. This is the main reason why I brought this up in the poll in the first place. I had "fanfcition" daydreams going on in my mind for a year or two.(about this possible system in the Reboot world, except...I'm sure it's offline and not connected to the Net) Kingdom Hearts is a series of video games from Square Enix featuring Disney characters too. In this series, there are as many worlds as there are stars existing as separate planets either in 3 planes of existence: Realm of Light(normally where all disney worlds are at), Realm of Darkness, and InBetween. And all of these worlds in the same sky are remain separate by these walls things. Hearts is the main theme in all of them, and each person and world has one. Some group of mostly goodlooking guy scientists experimented with the hearts of people and discovered darkness inside it. Them darkness turn into heartless that can extract heartlesses from other hearts. Ultimately these things eat hearts of the world and eat up other hearts of worlds, plunging the heartless hosts into darkness. Keys and keyholes are the theme, and this girl named Kairi is one of those keys, so she gets kidnapped. Our destiny-chosen hero, Sora, joins forces with Donald and Goofy to travel to different worlds to find Kairi. In KH2, the sciences of the fandom expands itself by introducing Tron-like abilities to transport humans into a computer world or a similar Matrix simulation *wink* *wink*If you can think of something better that I haven't thought about then please share! ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ Code Lyoko , I forgot to mention this! It's about 3 kids in France who found a top secret super computer including built in devices that allows things and humans in the real world to be virtualized into the computer and vice versa. When turned it on they discovered a whole virtual world, Lyoko, which is pretty much Reboot territory here. Inside the the system, they find a mysterious young sprite, Aelita, along with a powerful viral virus thing, Xana. The System is divided into 4 main sectors resembling a desert, ice place, forest, and relaxing japanese mountain place. And one more secret sector, the core of the entire world. There's towers scattered throughout Lyoko that serves as access points to control events in the world(which is taken advantage of by the virus, and at the same time can be fixed by Aelita). The show itself uses 2d animation for the real world and all 3d graphics for inside the computer. You can wiki it, it isn't that plot heavy or anything. In the 4th season, i think, they gain the ability to travel to the net, via a submarine of sorts plunged into the internet data sea. Nice parallels to Reboot, crazy enough to work. The real Adventures of Johnny Quest. It's been a long time since I watched this. We got the main cast from the ancient show, but upgraded. And I'm not sure what they do, solve paranormal mysteries? The main thing here is the fact that Johnny's dad made some kind of computer virtual world where you can do a hell lot of stuff that doesn't make sense here. I think it was called "Quest World" or something. When controlling your avatar in there, you can cure people, go to the dead, time travel?, warp into reality somehow, travel into people's minds, everything! Interesting to note, this show alternates styles sometimes. One style where the kids look less mature, the girl character's dad looks kinda like Lagger's rendition of Turbo. Heh

Reboot and "Scooby-Doo Where Are You?"
Could you imagine Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo roaming around Mainframe in a flying Mystery Machine? Doing "Run away from the monster (virus?)" scenes in Eight Ball Apartments? Catching the bad guy, taking off his mask and having everyone exclaim "Old Man Pearson?"
One lame crossover indeed.

Tron actually works well, not as a crossover so much as a shared universe. The details are all different, but the overall concept is pretty much the same. In the RPG, we have long since declared that Tron is an historical figure in the ReBoot 'verse, and, in fact, founded what eventually became the Guardians. The differences between the two canons can largely be explained either by the vast amount of time that has passed between them, or by assuming that the movie is the User view of events and they're bound to misinterpret a lot of things.
The rest of them... would be irredeemably lame in anything other than a Game context, and incredibly corny in one. The Magic School Bus (from what little I know of it) would at least have an excuse for bringing its characters into an impossible context; the others would just be totally forced.

Oh my bad, I didn't notice ANY simple edit would wipe out votes, but that's cool. It's a clean start. I promise I'm satisfied with my post this time! ...actually, the thing I just edited made the entire paragraph very contradictory, but, ahhh, screw it, hopefully you know what I mean.(Read the last few sentences for His Dark Materials one*cough*I retconned it*cough*)
I've added two new entries since then, Code Lyoko, and Johnny Quest. I think I've encompassed all the fandoms I know of with anything to do with computers that I wanted included. Shoot, except Terminator!!!!!!!!!! Eh, oh well. ______________________________________________
@ShinyHappyGoth Ah, nice insight there! I've been dubious about any Tron's possible connections for a while. But since you've brought it up, it does sound plausible, and i guess I can lighten up a bit. Afterall, those Systems didn't made themselves, surely there were prototypes that looked less orderly then what we have today. I think I can view Tron's world, as something of a beginning, close to chaos and all that.
Haha, Magic School Bus being most plausible, eh? But yeah, I agree most of them does sound forced. I suppose there can be a way to make it sound canon...somehow. Actually, the possibility of appearing in a Gamecube completely did not came up in my mind as I was writing this poll. haha
@Kerberos Haha, I love Scooby Doo! But I can't think of anything interesting they'd do with the Reboot cast. Maybe split up and the majority of the episode is exploring the unpopular Sectors searching for clues?? Boring... Haha

Thanks! Leesha, who plays our Bob, came up with the idea, but I play with it a lot. Enzo likes comics and movies about Tron (they tend to have a Robin Hood feel), and there's a statue of Tron and his companions (Yori, Ram, and Dumont--no one seriously believes that business about a User aiding him directly) in the middle of the Academy campus.
The advantage of ReBoot is that you can do a crossover with, or at least a parody of, just about anything if you can find a way to make it into a Game. They may not, however, be good Games...

Ace Pheonix or something like that. Its a game where the user is a lawyer trying to win court cases, oh and its done in 2d portraits! Can't you just see them, "What kind of game is this?"

ReBoot & Tron crossover would be interesting, almost thought about doing one when I did The Episode They'll Never Make but I don't have enough Tron figures to do one, only have lightcycles in 4 different colours, Sark, Tron, Flynn & a couple of guards. Probably the lamest crossover would be ReBoot & Ewoks

I think I might rather like a ReBoot/Tron cross. "Greetings programs"
